Enigma Telematics becomes MCS’ latest integration partner for MCS Telematics Hub 04 April 2018 Rental software company, MCS, confirms that it has on boarded Enigma Telematics as a partner supplier for its new MCS Telematics Hub. Enigma is a specialist in telematics and fleet management for businesses in the construction, plant, waste management and commercial vehicle market. MCS’ award winning ‘MCS Telematics Hub’ helps rental businesses harness the true value of any machine OEM telematics system and additional tracker solutions all in one convenient place. The hub presents the data directly to rental fleet operators within the company’s operational MCS-rm rental management software. Typically, the construction and plant hire industry wants to ensure that their customers are using their rental equipment correctly, safely and according to the terms of their rental contract – all of which can be very difficult to monitor and prove consistently. However, with consolidated machine telematics data readily available within the MCS-rm rental solution, companies can gain an unprecedented insight into individual machine movements, its safe usage by operators and a machine’s operational hours, which has real practical value for a hire business. MCS Software Development Manager, Chris Clarke says, “Combining telematics with rental management adds context to all telematics data that is being logged by associating it with the relevant customer and rental contract. We are seeing how fast access to telematics data will change how a rental company analyses and manages their equipment rental fleet. With having Enigma as a key integration partner, we will be able to merge their data feed into MCS-rm and keep rental companies one step ahead of their competitors with information supplied from their machine analytics.” Commenting on the new MCS Telematics Hub, Simon Keam-George, CEO at Enigma says, “The connectivity between Enigma and MCS enables the end user to make decisions based on how each machine has been used. Telematics is moving at such a rapid pace and we are especially keen to see how rental companies can benefit. We have worked closely with MCS for many years supporting MCS customers’ needs and so collaborating with the MCS team on the MCS Telematics Hub project is a natural continuation of that relationship.” Enigma Telematics is one of the latest companies to take advantage of the MCS Telematics Hub opportunity.
