Gippsland Hire improves its invoicing efficiency with the power of MCS-rm

Gippsland Hire had been using the same software since August 2015. As the business grew, its previous rental software solution was not able to keep up with its invoicing requirements, and the team had to start duplicating data to balance its books between the financial software and rental software.
Gippsland Hire looked into several different rental solutions on the market before it contacted another rental company, who gave MCS a glowing review. After a demo with MCS, the whole team were very impressed with what MCS-rm could offer them as a business, and was confident that MCS was the perfect solution for its requirements.

Invoicing Since we implemented MCS-rm, the invoicing process has been a breeze. With our previous software, we couldn’t always rely on the data export being accurate, which meant our financial package and rental software didn’t always balance. Since using MCS, we no longer have to worry about this. We know that when we export data to Xero, the data will be accurate, so no manual intervention is required. MCS also has a much more user-friendly ‘batch invoice’ function than our previous software solution. The process is much quicker, and nothing gets missed. MCS allows us to roll-over invoices and amend them should a hire period end up being shorter or longer than the initially booked dates. For our business, where hire dates can regularly change, this is essential.

Daily Diary We love the Daily Diary feature within MCS-rm. We use it to check what is due to happen each day with our assets. It is fantastic as it doesn’t allow us to miss anything or overbook ourselves each day.

Asset Management Knowing our assets are being so carefully managed is great. We now know where all our equipment is and when it is due back post-rental. As a result, we can utilise our assets far better and improve our return on investment.

Implementation The implementation process couldn’t have been easier. The MCS team took the time to explain to us how the software worked and provided us with some excellent training to get us started. Even now, if we have any questions with regards to the software, we feel comfortable to pick up the phone and ask for help. The team always helps us in a quick and professional manner.

Relationship Our relationship with MCS is great. MCS has given us back some time to focus more on our clients as the admin process for orders is now much faster. MCS has meant we haven’t had to hire another person to help us keep on top of the admin, something we had thought we were going to have to do before we found them.
