The Challenge

GD Medical provides medical equipment throughout the Netherlands to be used by patients in hospitals and healthcare institutions. They needed a way to track and manage their resources accurately and efficiently, whilst adhering to strict medical guidelines at all times. .

The Solution

The MCS solution was shortlisted with the final three software suppliers after being recommended by a number of GD Medical contacts. Speaking to some other MCS-rm users, GD heard high praise for their rental software, and decided to set up a demo. Very quickly, GD Medical realized that MCS was best suited to their needs and implementation began.

We had tight deadlines to meet to get the MCS-up software up and running and with the support of our account manager and the ever-ready MCS team, we were up and running within six weeks.

Contract Creation and Termination

When a customer rents a tool, a contract is created in MCS-rm. When this item is returned, the system will create a ticket for the termination of the rental and ultimately the invoice - all via a one-time data entry. The system also ensures that a piece of equipment is recorded as non-rental until it is returned to the depot and available for rental again.

Asset Management

MCS-rm's asset management functionality allows us to monitor the availability of our fleet and the daily diary allows us to manage our deliveries and collections for the week.

Resource Planner

Utilization is very important to us. The Resource Planner gives us a good overview of the units we have available per depot or customer location. This means we can start with an accurate forecast for the coming month and also monitor demand for our various medical products.

Workflow

Workflow helps us ensure that we adhere to strict processes and procedures and nothing is overlooked. The data collected throughout the year helps us pass our annual audits and meet strict legal compliance obligations.

Transfers between locations

With more than 200 managed customer locations in the Netherlands, it is important that we can move our stock to where demand is. This not only reduces the amount of equipment not being used, but also helps improve inventory circulation to ensure we get the most out of each asset and that certain products are not underused.

Financial integration in Exact Online

Being able to export our financial revenue data to Exact Online every month saves us time and rework.

Reporting

We can now design our own reports with the reporting tool. These reports are used daily in our business and allow us to forecast the future, monitor KPIs and enable our sales team to work more focused and make more strategic decisions.

Work Order app

The Work Order App helps us to keep our medical equipment in perfect condition. It is a great tool for us to ensure compliance with strict guidelines regarding cleaning processes and checkpoints for returned rental equipment. Each step of the process is signed off using a workflow, which leaves a clear audit trail of incidental and periodic maintenance.
